We love our two office pups, Oscar and Monty, and now there’s a third pooch in our world!
We’re sponsoring a puppy as part of our commitment to Guide Dogs for the Blind, our 2016 Charity of the Year.
After splitting into groups to brainstorm our favourite doggie names, we decided to call him Archie, after the arch in our company logo.
Archie will start his long journey to becoming a guide dog this year, and we’ll be doing lots of events – enjoyable and exhausting – to raise £5,000 to cover the cost of the puppy walking stage of his training.
Each guide dog partnership involves 20 months of training and seven years of support. It costs around £50,000, so our efforts will help get Archie off to a great start in taking his first steps as a guide dog.
We hit the £5,000 target for our 2015 charity partner, Dementia Forward. Now, with a bigger team than ever, hopefully we can raise much, much more!
We’ve already signed up to two big events. We’ll be defending our unbeaten run at the York Dragon Boat Race in July, and then in October, four of us will be running the Yorkshire Marathon. We also have a pool tournament, bake sales, car boots and many more events lined up.
