Alastair is a director of consultancy who leads accounts and projects across industries. With an MSc in HR and a background in HR and Communications consulting, he works across all elements of employee engagement. In particular, he has extensive experience of launching and embedding purpose, vision and strategy within businesses. He also specialises in helping organisations to surface, articulate and harness their employee value proposition.

Having started out as a broadcast journalist, Alastair’s interest in business then took him to one of the Big Four professional services firms, where he spent five years as a client-facing consultant and a further four years leading teams in the global IC function. He’s also held in-house roles in FTSE 250 businesses.

He's a chartered member of the CIPD, an experienced facilitator and has written for industry publications on a variety of employee engagement topics.

What lights you up outside of work?

“I love sport. I'm definitely not as agile as I was twenty years ago, but I still can't resist anything involving a bat, ball, hoop etc. I also love being out in nature, reading, writing and having a go at creating my own art (not always successfully).”
