Engaging global colleagues through a digital content strategy

in a nutshell

We work in partnership with our retained global media client, Naspers, to connect and engage colleagues through an all-colleague app. Our support spans all aspects of the digital content strategy, including; researching and planning news content, reacting to and sharing breaking news, producing all written and visual content, and full CMS and workflow management.


the challenge

Naspers, a global media organisation operating in ecommerce, video entertainment and print media across 40+ brands, needed to help colleagues feel part of one global team and drive the performance of the group. We helped them identify the essentials; to introduce all businesses to each other, underline the Naspers purpose and corporate narrative, and to advocate desired behaviours such as cross-brand collaboration, customer-centric innovation, people development and CSR focus to do just that.

the response & delivery

A content strategy for an all-colleague news app to gather, process and publish fresh, relevant content daily, underpinned by a global promotion strategy to drive registration and engagement with the app.

the impact

Our ongoing retained support also includes researching and identifying potential stories from individual brands, as well as researching specific stories on behalf of Naspers, developing a tone of voice and writing style to ensure consistency across the group, designing original graphical content, and full workflow and CMS management to maintain a consistent flow of news. Which has led to 40+ media brands in collaboration – and counting! – including a 60 second celebratory video to celebrate the anniversary of the app.

With a creative engagement campaign to raise awareness of the app and the content available within it, we created banner graphics for all-colleague emails to promote the app, produced simple one-page guides.
