Chris is a highly experienced and adaptable creative, with experience as a designer and an art director in his many years in agency life. He has a wealth of knowledge in creating and developing brands for editorial and commercial projects across print, digital, large scale, exhibitions, events and social media across many subjects.
Starting out from University at a traditional publishing house, Chris soon moved on to agency life and spearheaded the launch of National Geographic Traveller magazine in the UK. He went on to art direct the magazine, before expanding across digital channels and on to live events and exhibitions. He moved to York and spent time working with the North York Moors National Park, rolling out a modern and much-updated brand, before the lure of agency life brought him to scarlettabbott.
“Fuelled mostly by tea and biscuits, I enjoy my work, love a challenge, and pride myself in having the self-motivation to always be successful at what I do. People say I’m worryingly tidy and obsessively organised, but I just can’t help it.”
What lights you up outside work?
“I guess my house renovation for starters, and then still managing to play football twice a week and sink a beer or two afterwards!”
