Russ began his career in operational communications in retail, before joining scarlettabbott in 2013. Over the past decade, Russ has built a portfolio of clients that span industries and countries, and now leads a team of consultants, writers, designers and project managers at scarlettabbott.
Russ has a particular specialism in communicating diversity and inclusion. He has developed strategies that engage everyone in this important topic, for clients including Rolls-Royce, EY and Nationwide, involving people-led stories, meaningful narratives and leading with action rather than ambition. He’s a vocal champion for a more authentic approach to communicating diversity and inclusion.
What lights you up outside of work?
“I’m a creative soul outside of work. I love gardening, and find real joy in getting my hands dirty! I’m teaching myself to sew, doing my best to learn how to make my own clothes. And as much as I’d love to say I enjoy cooking, I actually prefer eating.”
