Have you heard the buzz about Viva Engage? It’s the latest app offering from Microsoft365, as part of the Viva range of tools.
With Yammer at the core, Engage is a layer that sits on top, offering more interactivity and functionality. It’s accessed through Teams exclusively, so that’s worth keeping in mind if you want to get your hands on what Engage has to offer.
Viva Engage has some really interesting features to explore:
Storylines allow employees to tell stories from a ‘me’ point of view rather than a project point of view, offering an opportunity for more opinion and content that’s fleeting and rich in personality.
Stories functionality gives you the quick, snappy and snackable content option you’ll be familiar with from Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat.
Q&A tools allow for more interaction between leaders and employees
Campaigns help bring hashtags together to form what look like community pages for these campaigns
And underpinning all these new bells and whistles is improved measurement dashboards to help community managers and IC teams drill down into trends and behaviours across the platform.
Personally, I’m very excited to see how these tools will manifest in businesses, but a hurdle will be whether organisations are already using Teams as their collaboration and comms platform of choice.
If not, a lot of these tools won’t be easily accessible to employees, though lack of adoption, digital capability or simply not knowing that they’re there.
Is your organisation ready for Engage? And would you like to know more about this tool? It’s available to all Office365 customers - if you’re one of those, let’s have a chat about unlocking some of those brilliant benefits.
