We’re looking for a senior writer based in the London area to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role.

What you'll do
- Edit, write, sub-edit and proofread employee communications across multiple channels including email, workplace messaging platforms/social media, web (microsites/intranets), film, animation, external social media, graphic treatments and print
- Plan and create multi-channel content plans
- Develop tone of voice and style guides
- Schedule and conduct interviews and manage contributors
- Lead and contribute to client and internal meetings as a subject matter expert for content
- Work with the account team to manage and service client accounts for all content or copywriting needs, from brief through to completion
- Brief designers, illustrators and video production teams
- Manage budgets, time and workload with high levels of accountability and limited oversight
- Accurately estimate time and resources needed for upcoming work
- Deliver informal training and workshops on storytelling and content best practice
- Work with the account director to identify new content opportunities, proactively proposing innovative ways to present information or create engaging content
- Develop and actively maintain a thorough understanding of the clients you work with, their business and the challenges their stakeholders and audiences face.
Your skills and experience
You have 5+ years’ experience in journalism – ideally with a news background, or in-house or agency in a similar role – and you can
- Write in varying tones of voice, for different audiences
- Proofread like a boss
- Write succinct, exciting copy for print, digital and social channels – and understand the different approaches needed for each
- Conduct warm and comfortable interviews, getting the most from your subject while still taking meaningful notes
- Spot the angle in any story and instinctively understand ‘what’s in it for me’ for different audiences
- Use different treatments and creative approaches
- Turn your hand to anything, from writing strategic documents to explaining complex topics in ways that are compelling for clients’ unique audiences.
Ideally (but not essentially)
- You have experience writing or delivering internal communications for IT or information security, benefits, e-commerce or professional services – preferably in an Agile environment
- You’re familiar with change management and have worked on change projects
- You’re aware of behavioural science and can apply its principles to your writing, to drive behaviour change.
