Quickfire Q+A

Meet Noa, part-time office pooch and full-time good boy

Noa came in for his interview with his lovely human Lu McKay, Senior IC Consultant and Performance Manager. They talked us through what he loves best and everything he’s not quite got away with.

What’s the earliest thing you can remember?
N: Taking my first walk in the park with my new family.

L: Noa’s mum and aunt escaped from a puppy farm; they were known as Thelma and Louise as they were on the run when they were found by the RSPCA. A pair of co-conspirators, they were inseparable, terrified and extremely anxious when they were first found. Noa and his brothers and sisters were born to Thelma while still in care and my husband and I were so lucky to find him.

Which historical figure would you like to be and why?
N: Elvis, because he ate whatever he wanted. I like to eat most things, but my favourite treat is steak – when I’m allowed it.

What’s your favourite flavour ice cream?
N: Wait, what’s ice cream?

Where is your favourite place in the world?
N: Lying on my parents’ bed. It’s not really allowed, it’s by invitation only.

When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
N: I don’t really have bad days, but I do like to collect all the slippers in the house and put them in my bed. Sometimes I gather up all the hats, socks and gloves too – I like putting my head in them.

What’s your favourite season and why?
N: Autumn because I LOVE chasing leaves.

L: He’s certainly embraced it and his colouring is very autumnal…

What’s your favourite quote from a movie?
N: Please sir, I want some more.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
N: Don’t jump in the pond again.

L: We went to my friend’s house and her dog was charging around the garden with Noa doing his usual loopy circuits. He came flying past us and we heard this enormous splosh. I just knew it was Noa. *eyeroll*

What do you like to do on a rainy day?
N: Snuggle up!

L: We open the door, he looks out at the weather and thinks ‘not today’!

What’s the worst thing you did and got away with?
N: Being sick on the brand-new bedroom carpet ?

L: And there was that time he dug up my husband’s pride and joy: our newly-laid turf. It’s recovering now, so he’s slowly being forgiven.
