Meet Connor and Christie

Meet Connor Faulkner and Christie Basile, the latest additions to our growing team. Here they tell us their loves, fears, and proudest moments.

Connor Faulkner

Connor joins us as an Editorial Assistant. Before joining scarlettabbott, he tried a little bit of everything, from freelance writing, to producing his own radio show. His previous role saw him expose unsigned bands around the North. As an English graduate, he’s worryingly obsessed with intertwining narratives into the world of internal communications.

Things that make me smile are…
A distinct lack of traffic around scarlettabbott towers.

Things that make me frown are…
An endless queue of traffic around scarlettabbott towers.

I’m happiest when…
A cherished childhood TV show is relaunched. See Robot Wars.

I’m saddest when…
Robot Wars inevitably gets cancelled again. Or Mary Berry gets kicked out of Bake Off.

My proudest moment was when…
I managed to get a degree and look really smug for my graduation.

My first job was…
A store assistant role in a now-closed charity shop.

My worst job was…
A learning experience: one which was conducted by a tutor and had an endless reading list of incredibly rare books.

My greatest achievement is…
My seamless transition from wearing glasses and contact lenses, and still finding fabulous outfits that work with both.

When I get home from work I…
Eat. Sleep. Try and start a book. Repeat.

I am most scared when…
Thinking of housing prices.

The thing that makes me laugh most is…
Thinking of housing prices. Although, it’s a laughter which covers my fear, so it may not count.

When I was a child I was very…
Small. Especially compared to my modern-day self.

My favourite person in the world is…
Parents/Girlfriend/Dog, pick whichever you fancy.

My all-time hero is…
One of the Gallagher brothers, have a guess which one. Or John Cooper Clarke if you want to be all Northern about it.

The most inspiring thing that’s ever happened to me is…
Getting free Subway sandwiches. That’s pretty motivating, and generally wonderful.

My first drink on a Monday is…
A worryingly weak cup of tea. PG Tips are life.

My last drink on a Friday is…
Ordinary tap water.

My favourite place in the world is…
Home – All that bedroom redecorating has paid off.

One word that describes me is…
Onomatopoeic.

Christie Basile

Christie joins us as an Account manager. Before joining scarlettabbott, Christie had worked her way up the ranks in-agency from an Account Executive to Senior and now Manager. Christie’s expertise lies in managing projects from concept to delivery.

Things that make me smile are…
my stupidly talented brothers, my wonderful family and amazing friends.

Things that make me frown are…
the cinema or ALDI virgins at the check-out.

I’m happiest when…
I’m on a beach (LOVE).

I’m saddest when…
I’m not on a beach.

My proudest moment was when…
I watched my little brother perform on the BBC introducing stage at Leeds and Reading Festival.

My first job was…
when I was 13 as waitress and I loved it!

My worst job was…
also a waitress.

My greatest achievement is…
my career.

When I get home from work I…
gym.

I am most scared when…
a daddy long legs enters the room I am in.

The thing that makes me laugh most is…
my family 100%.

When I was a child I was very…
much mistaken for a boy ALL of the time!

My favourite person in the world is…
David Attenborough.

My all-time hero is…
my Grandad (absolute super-hero).

My first drink on a Monday is…
my vanilla Super Food shake! Boom!

My last drink on a Friday is…
wine/gin (easiest question so far).

My favourite place in the world is…
Ibiza – toes in the med, cold beer in hand, watching the sunset with friends.

One word that describes me is…
happy.
